Church of Roswell

“You might be surprised to find out that we wrote “The Witcher” at 10:00 a.m. completely sober.Β  This is our first release as a human band, and we couldn’t be more excited”.

Josh Doyle, Church of Roswell

Introducing Church of Roswell, a new conceptual collective formed by singers, songwriters and musicians, Candi Carpenter and Josh Doyle, who arrive today with their debut single, β€œThe Witcher,” via Studio 42 Records.

Of the song, Doyle shares, β€œThe concept for β€˜The Witcher’ came from one of those late-night conspiracy theory conversations that Candi and I like to have, that make our producers roll their eyes,” while Carpenter adds, β€œOur goal is to bring people together on a psychedelic quest through space and time. Is that too much to ask?”

Produced by Peter Shurkin and Alden Witt and mixed by Ryan Hewitt (The Avett Brothers, Brandi Carlile), β€œThe Witcher” was written by Carpenter, Doyle and Witt and recorded at The Carriage Works in Nashville. In addition to Carpenter (vocals) and Doyle (vocals, acoustic guitar), the song features Peter Levin (piano) as well as members of Jason Isbell’s acclaimed band, The 400 Unit: Derry deBorja (Hammond B3 organ), Chad Gamble (drums, percussion), Jimbo Hart (bass) and Sadler Vaden (electric guitar).

Sister Candi and Brother Doyle welcome the world to the Church of Roswell by sharing messages of unity and deliverance through the power of tight harmonies and blazing electric guitar. Through their music, experience the transformative power of knowing we aren’t alone in the infinite universe as long as we have each other. Church of Roswell will release their debut EP next year, additional details to be announced soon.
