Jimmy Marino

Jimmy grew up in sunny Southern California; between his mother playing Mozart and his father playing Judas Priest, he was exposed to musical diversity at a young age.

In seventh grade, his aunt and uncle offered to pay for some guitar lessons as a Christmas present, and he ended up continuing those until sophomore year of high school. During freshman year of high school, however, he was accidentally placed into his high school’s mixed choir, and despite efforts to switch out, he was forced to stay in the class. He grew to love singing and choral music, and also began teaching himself piano, and by the time he graduated he had written his first EP.

In the fall of 2011 he moved to Boston, Massachusetts to begin at Berklee College of Music, where he is currently working to dual-major in Music Education and Professional Music. His main influences include Ben Folds, Mumford & Sons, 30 Seconds to Mars, among others. His general ideas for his songwriting encompass catchy melodies, huge builds, and stadium rock anthems. Enjoy!
