Tristan Miller

I am Tristan Miller and I am an alternative rock musician from Charles Town, West Virginia. I am currently attending West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

I have been doing music since middle school. It took over my life and I practiced my craft every day. I found it difficult to find another person with a similar musical aspiration and dedication. I have been managing all of my own media. I have learned video editing, photo editing, and music production to cover the needs an audience has when consuming musical media. Being my own staff has been difficult, but has been fun, too.

I have been writing songs since I picked up the guitar. Songwriting nearly everyday for ten years has developed my writing skills greatly. I’ve written more songs than anyone I personally know. My musical collaborators often ask for my help when they attempt to dive into song writing. I do wish for the chance to truly collaborate in song writing, but I do feel very liberated in my free reign over my musical creations. My music production experience is not entirely developed to a sufficiently professional level, but I do think I have gotten to a fairly listenable point.

I have been in numerous bands in different roles. I have been the singer, guitarist, bassist, and drummer.

My favorite artists include the Beatles (of course), Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, the Strokes, Cage the Elephant, Alvvays, etc.
