Peand-eL

My name is Peter Lyberth and I am from Greenland, I am a music producer, and I have released 3 albums under my artist name Peand-eL (all of them are on iTunes). I work in concept themed albums.

I am 31 years old, and some of my work has been in the Discovery Channel’s ‘Flying Wild Alaska’, which spawned a hit (Sinnattut).

Music has alway been my passion.

I began to write lyrics in the year 2000, and it would later become a trilogy of albums with their own concepts like the first album Eqqissitinnga (peace in mind). It’s about my childhood, a childhood filled with neglect, my parents’ divorce, and its effect on me.

The 2nd album ‘Tarrara’ (my shadow) is about my identity. A good or bad person. It’s like a mirror effect; to see myself, I have to choose another path to be a better man.

My 3rd album ‘Taalliniq’ (silhouette); my story began where I left the 2nd album. I just opened my eyes to myself, and I am a lost soul filled with anger and reflecting backwards to my past, feeling sorry for myself. But I choose to look the other side and rescue myself and become a man with strong soul.

I am living in Nuuk with my girlfriend. Currently I am working on my 4th album, which is still untitled and will be released in 2015, 10 years after my debut album. Also I produced and wrote “Avilortariaq” “Musicbox” for singer Ajaaja Gabrielsen.

This track is “Zoo Inuillu” (Zoo and the People) and is in collaboration with Uyarakq.

This YouTube video is from his last album, Taalliniq.

Ron Pope

It may seem shallow to compare Ron Pope to the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon or Jackson Browne, with their decades’ worth of platinum albums, but it feels honest to describe his potential that way.
