Oskar Schuster
Oskar Schuster is a young german composer, living in Berlin. His songs without words evocate a fairytale-world, strange and surreal. A world full of blurry images of the past; of childhood memories and characters from children’s books; of clicking and ticking clocks and ever-looping music boxes, of far-away-lands, far-away-seas, far-away-skies, far-away-everythings. In 2011, he released his debute album, “Dear Utopia”, followed 2012 by “Les Valses Invisibles”, an EP with some old and some new piano solo recordings. His musical influences include artists and bands like Beirut, Yann Tiersen, Sigur Rees, Pogo and Aphex Twin.
