Karl Robins

Hi Folks, I’m Karl Robins, originally from the North of England, Leeds but now live in a place called Spittal near Berwick upon Tweed in the North East of England. I’ve been playing for many years as a solo artist but also in a number of different bands and now as founder member of Blackwing.

Blackwing is essentially myself and the amazing Linda Stephenson, whose influences were mainly rock and blues; we’ve been playing and singing together for the last three years. I’ve recently retired from my ‘proper job’ so I’m now able to spend a great deal of time on music and songwriting and have been able to start putting down songs I’ve had hanging around for ages, some of those are on here too. These are often augmented by the excellent Gary Hetherington who adds his magic from a distance.
