Hollie April

Hollie April is a 22 year-old British singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Gibraltar, she began performing professionally at the age of 12. She is a recent graduate from Leeds College of Music with a BA(Hons) in Music Production. During her years as an undergraduate Hollie represented the conservatoire at numerous showcases (including Sony, Island Records and Steinway) and has participated in numerous prestigious events.

Hollie April is currently working on several projects with some exciting names and has just released her debut EP ‘Marionette’. The EP has already received radio airplay from many stations; this includes several features on BBC Radio. Her track ‘The Sun and the Sea’ has received extreme interest amongst fans and industry professionals. The piece has been supported officially by SoundCloud and numerous other music websites. She also specializes in composition, production, arrangement, sound design and foley.

Hollie April has an astonishing voice. It is clear and direct. She hits notes dead on and effortlessly glides across octaves. Accompanying herself with only an acoustic guitar seems fitting. It puts the focus on her singular voice, providing just enough of an anchor to get a sense of chord progression beneath the melody.
