Swelo

I was born on presidents’ day. Now i try to make music. Don’t be silly, I don’t mean THIS presidents’ day. I would be a baby. A baby prodigy. Incidentally, “baby prodigy” could be a rapper name. Take it, it’s free! Tell people you made it up. I’m a nice guy like that.

Swelo is a 24 year old high school math teacher by day, and musician by night. His genre-defying music blends elements of hip-hop, funk, rock, soul, and pretty much anything else you can think of. His debut album, Escalator Music, made waves on reddit when it was released in August of 2013, and became the top downloaded album on bandcamp for that month.

He is currently preparing to release his new album on September 16th, 2014. The album is entitled Helvetica, which he describes as sounding like “velveteen spice”.

Find out more about Swelo at his website, Facebook Page, Bandcamp, and Twitter Feed.
