Myles McLeod

I have lived in France for my entire life – it has taught me the basics and the foundations of music, and for that i’m very grateful. Recently, I moved to London to study music at the University of Westminster, which has had a massive impact on my life, and was worth every penny, because my love for music is unstoppably powerful, and if changing country is the way foward, then I say take it!

My passion for Music started from the very early age of 2, when for some crazy reason, my mum bought me the movie ‘Blues Brothers’ – not that I could understand a word of it – but I would watch it over and over and over again, until my head would eventually drift off to sleep. I just loved it!

From then on my life has revolved around music – Blues, Rock, Pop, Folk, Soul, and even Funk and Jazz. However my main influences have been artists such as Stevie Wonder, Jack Johnson, Andrew Bird, Glen Hansard, and Jose Gonzalez, and bands like Coldplay, Radiohead, Mumford and Sons, Cinematic Orchestra – the list goes on. They are a diverse bunch of genres, but I am a diverse musician!

If I have to fit my music into a category, it’s Folk or even maybe the Alternative Rock genre.

In 10 or 15 years time, I would like to see myself as either a professional or semi-professional performing artist, or perhaps even a film music composer, as I have a huge passion for film music too.<
