JekyllI Do What I Can

Jekyll, a four-piece indie rock band from Blackpool, are Joel Foster on guitar, vocals and keys; Jonny Chatterton on guitar and vocals; Lewis Armistead on bass; and Liam Singleton on drums.

Having played together for just over a year and made their mark on their hometown, they’ve started to make regular appearances in venues across Preston and Manchester, quickly coming to the attention of Membranes frontman John Robb who booked Jekyll as support for The Membranes upcoming gig at the top of Blackpool Tower to celebrate the landmark’s 120th anniversary.

Jekyll recorded their first demos late last year, quickly bringing them media attention from BBC Introducing, resulting in regular airplay for their songs. They returned to the studio in April and have now released their debut EP (available on iTunes). August sees them celebrating their appearance at The Membranes Top of the Tower gig with the single release of ‘I Do What I Can’ the lead track from their current eponymous EP.

Find out more about Jekyll at their website, and their Facebook page.
