Hanne Jøstensen

Hi, I’m Hanne Jøstensen, a Norwegian singer/songwriter living in Wellington, New Zealand. I started writing my own music in 2009. Four years and two children later, I am now promoting my newly released debut studio EP ‘Watch over me’. It’s a five track EP, self-penned and produced, with songs ranging from upbeat acoustic pop to soulful ballads. It is currently available through bandcamp.com and independent record stores in Wellington, NZ.

It was a real privilege to be working with outstanding musicians and award winning engineers during the recording process of my EP, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Still, it was a real challenge completing the project alongside full-time work and having a young family. It is therefore so rewarding knowing that my music is now out there and reaching more and more listeners.

To my delight, the EP ‘Watch over me’ has received very positive reviews in several music magazines; NZ Musician, UK-based FolkWords, and the Norwegian online music magazine HISS!G.
