Audrey Michaels

Born and raised among the corn stalks and hay bails of north central Indiana, I have been trying to create ever since I can remember. Music has always been the forefront of my life; whether I’m singing, playing piano, marimba, or pots and pans, I have always been noisy.

I am living in Boston, Massachusetts, taking a hiatus from studying marimba at Berklee College of Music to live, write, and create. I am heavily influenced by nature, conversation, loved ones, and other artists such as Justin Vernon, S. Carey, Lykke Li, Little Dragon, and many others.

I am currently sorting through my words to find the things I want to say to all of you in the form of an album to be released this year. May the sounds I create put you in a new place – my shoes or whoever’s shoes you need to be in – and may you take from my words whatever it is you need to take from the greatest language ever made: music.
